Richard Raphael, President
Our mission is to provide youths an opportunity to play football and cheerlead in a supervised, organized, and safe environment, and to promote the ideals of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness. To aid and assist in combating juvenile delinquency by providing and promoting the physical and emotional well being of young athletes.
The Miami-Dade Xtreme Youth Football League is committed to be South Florida’s most outstanding Youth Football and Cheerleading League as judged by our parents, our peers, and the communities in which we serve. We strive to develop the best football and cheerleading experience possible and that starts with developing the best commissioners, coaches, and team parent volunteers in both Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Our Coaches and Volunteers serve as role models to our youth as reflected by their decisions and actions, and to work to build the athletes self-esteem and moral foundation so that they can confidently pursue and achieve their academic, athletic, and life goals.

Ari Arteaga lived his 16 years of life with a zest of making every day
count for himself and for others. Ari was a player in the Xtreme league since he was 7 years old and played his entire youth football career at the Kendall Boys & Girls Club. From an early age, his positive nature and high energy made him stand out. Ari touched lives with his extraordinary personality and spirit, his natural ability to make others feel cared for, and his special way of engaging with people. He created friendships with people of all ages and walks of life, genuinely making a difference in their days, unknowingly helping others feel that their lives mattered.
Ari suffered a tragic auto accident at the age of 16, but his memory and spirit live on in every person who knew him. A few weeks prior, he has begun to spread his personal motto of "Be the Light." A testimony of this is apparent in the celebration of his life through the support of the community in creating a foundation that is making a difference in helping those in need, The Ari Arteaga Foundation.
This year the Miami Xtreme is honoring Ari Arteaga's memory by presenting the first annual Ari Arteaga award.
This year's recipient is a young man who leads by example on and off the field. He has a great work ethic and excels academically as well as athletically. This ultimately team player has tremendous leadership skills showing great sportsmanship, respect for the game and respect for his opponents. He truly makes everyone feel special. He is a fine young man destined for great success on and off the field and he truly represents the high standards of the Miami Xtreme League and his home park, Kendall Hammocks Warriors.
This year's recipient is Alan "AJ" Arellano from the Kendall Hammocks Warriors 13U team. A donation of $500 will be made in his name to the Ari Arteaga "Be The Light Foundation."
